On the morning of September 15, the China-Vietnam Detian (B?n Gi?c) Waterfalls Cross-Border Tourism Cooperation Zone commenced its trial operation with an inaugural ceremony held at the border checkpoint of the cooperation zone.

Distinguished attendees included MIAO Qingwang, Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and his Vietnamese counterpart, who is the Deputy Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, and Director of the Coordination Committee for the "Cooperation in the Protection and Development of Tourism Resources at Detian (B?n Gi?c) Waterfalls" Agreement, along with representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of both China and Vietnam.
During the trial operation, the cooperation zone will implement a new management model for cross-border tourists holding passports and entry and exit permits issued by the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The visitors are required to make an appointment for group tours, and cross and leave the border at the scheduled time while following the restricted route. Also, there is a capping to visitor numbers in high season. Tourists visiting the Vietnamese side of the cooperation zone must pre-book through the "QUBIANGUAN" mini-program, with groups ranging from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 20 people. The cross-border passage will operate under group-specific customs inspection measures. The tour route on the Vietnamese side includes the checkpoint, B?n Gi?c Waterfalls Scenic Area, B?n Gi?c Hotel, and local restaurants, with an entrance fee of 70,000 Vietnamese Dong per person (approximately 21 RMB, including personal accident insurance but excluding other entertainment expenses). Visitors shall wear identification tags provided by the Vietnamese side during the tour.
The successful trial operation of the cooperation zone is a significant step in promoting economic and trade cooperation, cultural and tourism exchanges, and friendly people-to-people interactions between China and Vietnam. It deepens the neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries and fosters the healthy and stable development of their strategic partnership. Fulfilling its responsibilities as a central government-owned enterprise, CTG INTERNATIONAL is committed to creating a first-class tourist destination in the Detian transnational waterfalls scenic area, polishing a dazzling jewel in the tourism belt along the China-Vietnam border.
